Do not ship anything in unprotected packaging. Use padding generously. LP's, 45's and 78rpm records especially should be packed carefully. MARK FRAGILE ON ALL PACKAGES. Padding between each record and protective filler/padding around everything in the shipping box. You can do this yourself or at mailing and sending services.
Tapes, CD's, etc., will require less serious packing but should be packaged for total protection. Do not send your treasured items in single-layer packages. Insuring with delivery confirmation is best.
Priority Mail is preferred for tracking purposes.(with delivery confirmation)
Hundreds of packages are successfully shipped weekly. Ship yours with tracer capability. Express mailing or shipping is a personal preference. Most options offer expedited or regular services. Be certain to insure your packages. REMEMBER...PACKING PROPERLY IS MOST IMPORTANT.
U. S. POSTAL SERVICE
U. S. Postal Service mailing services are good. Also, shipping is available through United Parcel Service, Federal Express and Airborne Express. (United Parcel now owns or has arrangements with local Mail Boxes Etc outlets) Whichever one is your choice, packing is the number one priority.
Our company likes U. S. Postal Service Priority Mail. You receive 2 to 3 day delivery including Saturdays. Delivery confirmation is available with Priority Mailing. (FIRST CLASS is almost as fast as Priority Mail) U. S. Postal Service.
Media Mail is another USPS service. Rates are especially reasonable. Media Mail is not as fast as Priority Mail but is less expensive.
Whichever method you use, insurance is nominal as is delivery confirmation and tracking. SEE http://www.usps.com/ for complete details.
